The 2020 pandemic sparked an idea: if people couldn't come to Blacksburg, perhaps Blacksburg could come to them ... one thoughtfully curated box at a time.

Friends, Jen and Dana, began curating an authentic taste of local that captured the essence of our beloved Blacksburg with all the things that make this place home.

What started as care packages for friends, quickly evolved into something much greater: a celebration of small and local, thoughtfully assembled to share a taste of the region's unique character with the rest of the world. Each box tells a story through carefully selected products that embody the warmth and authenticity of the New River Valley.

Today, The Burg Box has grown into the region's premier gifting solution, serving individuals and companies who value artisanal quality, authenticity, and local impact. As we begin expanding across the state, our mission remains unchanged: supporting small and local businesses while delivering genuine connections and meaningful experiences through thoughtfully curated boxes. (Jen continues to run and grow the business, while Dana has returned to teaching full-time.)
